For many people the most nerve-wracking part of an employer’s recruitment process is the Presentation, followed closely by the Job Interview. In fact, making a presentation is one of the biggest sources of fear for people in North America, UK, and Australasia.
No matter how hard you prepare, if you don’t also address your fears and limiting beliefs about yourself, you increase the chances that you won’t come across as well as you would like when making a presentation or facing an interviewer.
Maybe you tend to do the ‘death by powerpoint’ presentation, or maybe you don’t know how to cram an hour’s information into 10 short minutes.
Perhaps question handling is your Achilles’ heel.
Maybe you get feedback that you are too…preachy, vague, putting in too much detail, dull, unconvincing (just fill in the blanks). Or maybe you just fear you’re boring – and no-one wants that.
Maybe you are uncomfortable meeting strangers, or you just feel pressurised in interviews or presentations.
Over the last 15 years I have coached hundreds of people on their presentation skills. I know what works, and can teach you the best ways to make a positive impression. I can also help you deal with your fears and the beliefs that limit or even paralyze you. I’ve used role plays to help people radically transform their presentations and come over confidently at interview.
